Song is Gumatj clan song about the sulphur crested white cockatoo crying in the forest of paperbark trees. When Gumatj people cry it is connected. The crying is linked to the Yolngu spiritual world.

Song is Rirratjingu clan song about the moon fish and a rock called Mandula sacred to Rirratjingu people. During Bunglul (ceremony) we always imitate the fish. By imitating the fish it gives the warrior the power of the ocean and the timeless rock. Song is dedicated to the father of land rights and Rirratjingu clan leader Malpinytjingu Marika who passed away in 1993, the International Year for the World's Indigenous Peoples.

Gany'tjurr is a bird, the heron who lives at Birany Birany. The song describes where Gany'tjurr lives, breeds and hunts. Yolngu and Gany'tjurr often hunt together in the mist. Gany'tjurr is a territorial bird, she reminds people of their country.
