a rock called Mandula sacred to Rirratjingu people. During
Bunglul (ceremony) we always imitate the fish. By imitating
the fish it gives the warrior the power of the ocean and
the timeless rock. Song is dedicated to the father of
land rights and Rirratjingu clan leader Malpinytjingu
Marika who passed away in 1993, the International Year
for the World's Indigenous Peoples. |
